Established in 2005 Cedar Doctor NZ specialises in the maintenance and restoration of Cedar timbers. We have built a reputation for providing personal attention, uncompromising commitment to quality work, and achieving 100% customer satisfaction.

For those considering a role as a Cedar maintenance technician we would like you to have the following:

Qualities and Attributes:

- Desire to perform quality work
- Honest and work-oriented
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Initiative and proactive
- Punctual and safety conscious

Requirements:

- Aptitude for working with hands in trade type work, and perhaps some practical hands-on work experience
- Comfortable working at heights and able to work with paints, stains and oils, and chemical cleaning agents
- Physically strong and active (able to lift/carry weights up to 40kgs and work consistently for extended periods)
- NZ Driver’s Licence
- Safety conscious, punctual, and able to show initiative
- Able to pass drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment and periodically)
- NZ citizenship, residency or a valid NZ work visa
- Ability to communicate well in English

Your work would include the application of timber stains, wood oils, and paints to prepared surfaces, surface preparation by means of chemical washing, scraping and sanding, cleaning of job sites, and erecting and moving scaffolding, etc.

Location of Work:

Cedar Doctor NZ are based in Auckland (Wairau Valley) and our work is mainly in the Auckland region, but at times we have jobs further away.

Office and Operations Manager

This role will require that, in addition to the geneal role requirements, you have supervisory experience and good organisational skills. You also need to be fit and active, as it does require onsite work for training and to help the team from time to time.

This is a role where you can grow with the company and take on more responsibilty and busienss management functions.
